Fort Walton Fl Beach Weddings
Beach weddings are an extremely affordable venue for weddings, elopements and wedding vow renewals. Beach weddings are also picturesque and fun for both the wedding party and their guests. Florida's Emerald Coast has several beaches that make perfectly magical settings for beach weddings and Fort Walton Beach is one of them. This Emerald Coast destination has an endless supply of gleaming white beaches and emerald-green waters (that's where the nickname comes from!), which is why many couples decide to have their ceremony (and honeymoon) here.
Because the beaches are not as crowded as those in Destin, FL, it was a perfect choice for one of our Sugar Beach Wedding's brides this past June. She chose to have her wedding at the shoreline of Beasley Park, which is a public access beach with a covered pavilion, restrooms, and plenty of parking. She rented the pavilion for a small cake cutting and champagne toast for after the wedding. The beach cleared out completely before the time of the wedding and we ended up having the most amazing sunset!
After the wedding, everyone went up under the pavilion for the cake cutting and the new bride got the most beautiful sunset for the background of the cake cutting. Even though, the newlyweds were trying to be nice to each other and not smash cake into each other's faces, one of the groomsmen talked the groom into doing it. He smashed cake all into the brides face and she got him back, of course. Before we knew it there was cake flying everywhere! It was all over the pavilion and most of the guests and the wedding party ended up covered in cake. Thankfully, we had some cupcakes left over to serve to everyone...
Affordable Weddings in Florida
One of the great things about our beach weddings is that you can start your honeymoon in the area as soon as you say "I do". Fort Walton Beach has mild weather, warm water temperatures, and enough things to keep you occupied for days. You can go deep-sea fishing on one of the area's charter fishing boats, shop 'til you drop at upscale boutiques and designer outlet malls, and dine in some of the many great restaurants.
